- Winning traders are disciplined and have a trading strategy or plan that they follow. The plan has self created and implemented rules that the trader always follows. An example rule might be related to the trader's money management. For example, a possible rule could be that I only use 1% of my total portfolio value on each trade.
- They do not act on emotion. They follow the rules that they established and remain calm and collected.
- They avoid getting into careless trades and always protect their capital (because without it they can't trade).
